What is Digitising?
Digitising (digitizing) or Punching is the process of converting artwork into data containing commands that tell an Embroidery Machine frame how to move through the machine operating system. The word 'Punching' actually comes from the traditional 'jacquard' embroidery machines which ran by reading paper tapes with holes punched in them. These holes represented code that the embroidery machine interpreted and moved its frame accordingly.
Nowadays this 'punching' process is performed on a piece of computerised embroidery digitising software , recreating a design into a code which embroidery machines can read. this usually involves working from an image file (JPG, BMP, etc) and then creating the design in a way to ensure the smooth running of the embroidery machine. We take extra care on all our designs, to ensure that thread trimming, breaks and colour changing are kept to a minimum.
How much do we charge for the service?
We charge a set fee of US$30.00, regardless of complexity or size of image/artwork.
What payment methods do we accept?
We accept payment directly through our site via Paypal or credit card (via Paypal). If you prefer, you can telephone us with credit card details during office working hours (in this case do not buy the product through the site, simply send us the details by email and call to pay).
What information do you need to send in your accompanying email?
Please provide the following:
Good clear artwork/logo in a suitable format (JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG, TIF)
An idea of the position of the artwork on garment
Size of the design required, either height or width
Preferred colours, or colour amendments needed
The type of fabric the design is going onto (garment type & fabric design)
Machine format required
